bret

So I’m watching the local news coverage in South Texas, of the destruction left behind after Hurricane Bret blew through. Falfurrias, I knew some people who lived in that small, almost border town. There were buildings downed, trees uprooted, and livelihoods devastated. Camera close-up: remains of an Exxon station where the leathered old man admitted he’d been around long enough not to be defeated by his unfortunate turn of events. Simply put, he said

“You take what’s left, 'n you try 'n fix it best you can, 'n you move on.”

You take what’s left, you try to fix it, and you move on. Yeah.
